Sometimes, the tiniest of PR disasters are the best.
Yesterday, I was enjoying Nissan’s live stream on YouTube via their channel, NISMO TV. During the live stream, NISMO TV was replying to questions and comments in the live comment section of the stream.
Someone had an innocent question about how the driver system works, and got this reply.
You heard it here first. Nissan’s drivers were defecating while driving, obviously slowing them down. But hey, it’s a unique strategy, and I’ll give them credit on that.

It would weigh the same, just lowers the center of gravity.

Their PR disaster was saying they were going to win this year when they first announced their LMP1 program.

Well they can’t just go out and say “We’re gonna lose this year!”

No, but they can be a lot more modest.

Only if the car has a poop chute integrated into the seat.

That deposits it onto the track. THAT would be awesome. Imagine a bunch of LMP cars shitting on the track.

Seems like that would result in some shitty hazards. Can you imagine the carnage that a Cleveland steamer on an apex could cause?
